I would like to share my experience with regards to the Tomatis techniques.

Thanks to my singing teacher, I met Professor Tomatis in 1992 and followed a course in his centre in Paris.

I then met Mrs Dominique Waddell, his first assistant while I was doing an audio-vocal course under his direction.

I then carried on to further benefit from these techniques with Mrs Waddell, under Professor Tomatis’ supervision.

I noticed, at the time, a rather striking improvement in my voice, my memory as well as my confidence which allowed me to become a professional singer and to perform in different roles in some of the finest opera houses such as le Chatelet in Paris, le komische Oper in Berlin ou le DNO in Amsterdam,  Gulbenkian foundation in Lisbon and so on…

I have always had my ears “checked” on a regular basis, have had my husband do a series of sessions for his problems with understanding English. I also had my daughter follow a course of sessions, she is now bilingual and has had a beautiful education in the Henry IV lycée in Paris.

That is actually how I was able to gauge the effects of these techniques on children, by observing my own child before and after  her sessions : the remarkable progress in concentration, understanding as well as with the ability to learn and understand more quickly.

I do hope this modest testimonial will help parents to have their children follow these sessions….and to do it for themselves as well.
